Five people have died in a road traffic accident on the great north road near Chisamba Protea hotel T junction. The accident involving a White Toyota corolla registration number ABJ 5368 coming from the Copperbelt to Lusaka happened around 18:30 hours last evening. Central Province Police Commissioner, Solomon Jere has confirmed the accident to MUVI TV News. He says the deceased are three men and two women. Dr. Jere says the driver lost control of the vehicle and hit in to a tree and overturned after passing over a pool of water. He says two of the five have been identified while the three are yet to be identified. Dr. Jere named those identified as Rabson Kolala of ZNS Makeni and Moses Chileshe of woodlands. He says police found three bottles of beer and mugs inside the vehicle. Dr. Jere says the bodies are at Liteta Hospital mortuary. He has since appealed to drivers to be cautious when on the road.
